Art Education (is always a) Political Practice

Anisha Gupta Müller

“This publication aims to archive (some) anti-discriminatory art school pedagogies in the German context. I present a variety of methods, materials and curricula from my lessons that can be developed and used in educational contexts.

My work is almost always collaborative, so I am especially excited to document all the collective moments and exchanges with political researchers, students and artists in Berlin.”

– Anisha Gupta Müller

The book is available in both English and German, both online and in print.

It is available to read online for free through  weißensee kunsthochschuleʼs digital archive.

TOOLKIT

Bodies in the Classroom

This illustrated poster is a toolkit for educators, offering practical tips and thought-provoking questions to reflect on power dynamics in the classroom. It highlights four key themes: music, awareness, stretch breaks, and changing spaces, encouraging the integration of movement-based practices and opportunities for reflection into teaching.

The poster was written and conceptualised by Anisha Gupta Müller and was designed by Sebastián Plaza.
